Job description

Are you degree educated? With a desire to continue with a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA)? Naturally highly numerate, that enjoys working with large data sets, manipulating and interpreting numbers to draw conclusions on performance? As a result of growth, we are working in partnership with a renowned luxury retailer who is looking to recruit a Commercial Finance Analyst into their impressive finance team. Reporting into the Commercial Finance Manager, you will assist in the analysis of sales, cots and KPIs along with adhoc analysis to support on decision making. Full time, permanent role. West London based, 3 days in the office.

Reporting into the Commercial Finance Manager, the Commercial Finance Analyst role will assist in the daily/weekly analysis of sales, costs and KPIs. Manipulating large data sets, scenario modelling along with providing general support to the wider finance team.

Further responsibilities include:

  • Support with the quarterly re-forecast process
  • Assist in the budgeting process
  • Analyse and report on promotions throughout the year, reviewing performance and sharing with the wider business to inform decision making
  • Own monthly accounts packs, looking at the full P&L and all revenue channels of the business
  • Analyse trends and perform analysis to support business decisions
  • Business partner with non-finance key stakeholders

Successful applicants will be degree educated with a minimum 2:1 degree and/or part-qualified accountant ACCA/CIMA. As the role involves sharing key financial information and analysis with the business; a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is key. The commercial finance team works with multiple areas across the business, so having a collaborative work ethic is key in addition to intermediate MS Excel skills (Essential).
