We have an exciting opportunity where you could be a part of our incredible team.
In this role you will support the Supply Chain Team with the analysis of the Distribution cost centres for all divisions with the aim of providing insights to drive efficiencies and highlight areas of improvement.
In this role, you should have an analytical mind and a strong business acumen. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
In addition, the role will ensure that all standard costs for imported and co-pack products are corrected calculated and variances are investigated and remedial action taken.
The role will also take responsibility for the management of a Junior Analyst.
Key Responsibilities include:
Distribution cost centres
Budgeting/Forecasting
- Understand key drivers for all costs relating to the distribution cost centres and support Junior Analyst in gaining understanding.
- Undertake review meetings with relevant stakeholders in supply chain to gain insights which can be built into the latest forecast.
- Ensure that all assumptions are documented and aligned with Supply Chain Director/ Country Manager
- Create appropriate templates to ensure bottom-up calculations are completed for Budget & LLE/LE
Reporting
- Ensure all actuals are captured correctly, ensuring that costs are transparent and understood
- Prepare monthly review deck with a focus on highlighting performance vs PY/ LE, follow up with any remedial action
- Influence change where necessary to drive improvements ensuring communication is clear, concise, and adapted to meet the requirements of audience. Make recommendation to enhance performance and reduce costs
SRM
- Ensure attendance at monthly SRM, prepare and distribute necessary information to aid constructive discussions
- Ensure relevant minutes/ actions are followed up in a timely manner
Fixed Assets
- Monitor and report on all capex spend - track costs v’s budget and investigate variances
- Maintain Fixed Asset ledger, transfer WIP assets to Fixed Assets based on project go-live dates
- Provide required info to meet internal and external stakeholders requirements –(Capital Allowances)
Month End
- Work with Supply chain Team to manage accruals for Month End
- Review Actual Spend v\'s Budget & LE and provide explanation for variances
- Take ownership for the calculation of Forex/Hedge Accounting Transactions, ensuring correct accounting treatment of Swaps
- Input and calculate balance sheet and key figures into Cognos Controller
- Complete and review relevant Balance Sheet recs
Stock /Co-Packing Control
- Complete monthly stock reconciliation (sub-ledger to GL)
- Conduct regular meetings with Co-pack manager, to investigate and report on consumption variances
- Analyse non-standard cost of goods on a monthly basis e.g. purchase price variances, production variance, absorption
- Ensure corrective actions are followed up
- Ensure that provisions for stock at risk /short-dated stocks are corrected calculated and posted Manage costings for product launch/re launch sign off process and packaging updates
Line Manager responsibility
- Responsible for the development of Junior Analyst
- Conduct monthly review of performance and objectives
- Provide support where needed to ensure that objectives can be met
- Attend relevant LME courses and implement learning
Ad-hoc reporting requests as required.
What experience you’ll bring
- Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) or finalist
- Have previous experience of inventory accounting
- Have strong communication and networking skills
- Financial accounting experience
- Be performance driven, tenacious and goal orientated
- Be able to work cross functionally both internally and externally
- Advanced Excel skills & computer literate
- Prior experience of SAP would be an advantage
