Your role at a glance

Change Oversight assists in overseeing the Group’s major change portfolio to ensure the major change initiatives are aligned with the group’s strategy and financial objectives and deliver an acceptable return on investment. The role holder also supports the Group Performance Senior Manager in reporting on the Group change portfolio.

What you'll be doing


  • You will produce monthly management information on the Group’s major change portfolio, including producing regular presentations for the Board and executive committee (ExCo), ensuring commentary relating to the Group forecast position is comprehensive, accurate and suitable for Group Board / Exec or senior management as appropriate. This includes reviewing Group expenses forecast management information and communicating results to the Head of Group FP&A and Change Oversight on a regular basis in line with company requirements.
  • You will own the monthly production of the Group’s change portfolio forecast. This includes ensuring data collated in Anaplan is reconciled to other reported sources, maintaining and developing the Anaplan model where required and to seek to continuously improve the model and surrounding processes. Ensure proactive and critical review, assisting the Group Performance team in their ability to challenge specific projects and / or divisional/Group forecasts where appropriate to drive performance, by making logical connections and observations in the data and flagging appropriately.
  • You will support the Group-wide business plan exercise by analysing and producing reports on data submitted by divisions.using Anaplan, Excel and PowerBI, validating data against multiple sources. You will liaise with the Group Expenses team on planning activities, challenging underlying assumptions and ensuring alignment with our Group strategic aims. . Record any new risks & opportunities flagged by divisions/group expenses and monitor their progress in the forecast.
  • You will work with the Change Oversight Manager to align business case financials to plan and forecast, challenging where necessary to ensure they meet business requirements. Assist with the associated Benefits Review process by collating the data and drawing logical conclusions.
  • You will assist the wider team with tasks such as, but not limited to, verification of external disclosures, Anaplan model development and general process improvement.
  • You will ensure that the appropriate Finance MI, process and systems are used/followed to provide support to Group Functions, so customers are treated fairly in line with Legal & General’s Customer Experience and TCF policy.
What we're looking for
  • Newly qualified accountant, actuary (or QBE) or change management specialist (with appropriate finance experience).
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills as well as a continuous improvement approach to work.
  • Highly numerical and analytical, with the ability to manage quantities of data effectively, including strong excel skills.
  • An eye for accuracy to ensure quality outputs.
  • Delivery focussed and a flexible and dynamic approach to working.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a small, high performing team of multi-skilled professionals
  • The ability to deliver across multiple businesses, involving complex stakeholder, process and technology issues
  • Good written and verbal communication
