Finance Analyst
Location: Manchester City Center, with hybrid working
Salary: circa £25,000- £30,000 DOE
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join an established, leading business recovery, financial advisory & property services consultancy, based at the head office in Manchester. This role would suit somebody who is CIMA/ ACCA part qualified or working towards, looking to gain further exposure within an analytical finance role.
This role requires a motivated self-starter with high attention to detail and strong business awareness to understand the impact of the figures being produced. Good inter-personal skills are required to communicate across the business on a number of different levels.
Supporting the Finance Business Partners, the key responsibilities of the role are:
- Production of monthly KPI reports for the group Board including commentary on new work appointments, time charged and billings
- Production and distribution of individual office KPIs to office managing partners
- Supporting the business partners in the monthly and the detailed quarterly work in progress review process including, uploading estimated recovery rates to the system, detailed analysis of unusual movements and establishing the month-end journal
- Assisting with annual budgeting and the quarterly forecasting process including maintenance of standing data, accurate completion of excel summaries for output to offices to review and producing consolidated group summary of results and variance analysis
- Assisting with working capital control for the group to include, monitoring cash receipts against target, working capital lock-up calculation to establish value and number of days of combined debtors & work in progress within the group and analysis of historic cashflow for income & expenditure
- Day to day analytical support for business partners to provide timely and accurate business analysis
Key Skills/ Attributes:
- Good IT skills especially in excel
- Strong communication skills- confident communicator to liaise with stakeholders and all levels within the business
- A self-starter with a positive, proactive 'can do' attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target driven environment
- High attention to detail, coupled with the ability to see the bigger picture
- Part qualified accountant (or working towards), study support offered
