Job Summary
The Financial Analyst, reporting to our Chief Investments Officer, will perform financial modeling, analysis, and reporting support to our Investments, Acquisitions, and Capital Markets Teams and will cross functionally work with other teams at times across the company here at Bedrock. Bedrock is a rapidly growing, private commercial real estate, investment, and development company and this role will offer excellent advancement opportunities and experience in many aspects of real estate finance.
Responsibilities
Perform financial analysis including cash flow projections, real estate valuation, credit analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
Create cash flow models using ARGUS and EXCEL.
Assist with financial underwriting of potential property acquisitions.
Assisting with acquisition due diligence (review leases, legal documentation, financial information, property documentation and other materials).
Assist with capital transactions – provide information to lenders and potential buyers (legal documentation, financial information, property documentation and other materials) initially and throughout the process.
Prepare regular reporting of key property information (residential leasing, retail tenant sales, tenant delinquencies, etc.)
Support Asset Management team in lease analysis
Assist with various analytical projects regarding portfolio and property performance
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Real Estate Finance, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
1-2 years previous experience in, commercial real estate finance, commercial real estate accounting, or commercial real estate is required
Demonstrated interest in qualitative and quantitative commercial real estate analysis
Strong attention to detail
Flexible; able to shift priorities quickly
Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative information and translate into strategic deliverables
Knowledge of commercial lease terms including recovery methods
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Yardi and/or Argus experience helpful, but not required
