Job description
The role of the Technical accounts assistant is to ensure the Trust’s cashbooks are maintained, to perform balance sheet reconciliations are performed and to process manual payments. You will also help to assist with the monitoring of expenditure of Charitable Funds and other ring-fenced monies.
Assist in the Technical Accounting process by:
To ensure the Trust’s cashbooks are maintained on a daily basis.
Reconcile and clear allocated control accounts on a regular basis including preparation of relevant documents to facilitate prompt payment (e.g. HMRC, NHSPA, and Attachment of Earnings).
To assist in the administration and monitoring of Charitable Funds and other ring-fenced funding.
To support the maintenance of the Trust’s Scheme of Delegation.
To process manual payments.
To prepare the data for the cost per case billing.
Record and investigate un-presented cheques.
Produce and record investments and interest received.
Assist with salary advances, recalls, BACS rejects, urgent payments and inter-account bank transfers as required.
Assist in the NHS National Agreement of Balances (AoB) process for Payables and Receivables.
