The Menu Partners are recruiting an experienced Financial Accountant to join our food service division finance team based in London. The role is a full-time position and will report directly into Group Finance Director.
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Accountant with minimum 1-2 years post qualification experience. This is a great opportunity for a driven individual looking for professional growth and exposure within a dynamic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting Finance Director preparing detailed monthly accounts and other financial reports
- Preparing key balance sheet reconciliations
- Oversight of work performed by Finance Assistant, sales ledger and purchase ledger teams, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded
- Maintaining relationship with financing bank and regular reconciliation of £20m+ ID facility
- Providing support for cost control initiatives, providing appropriate analysis and change to drive performance improvements
- A key contributor to annual external audit cycle and statutory account preparation
- Responsibility for regular statutory / compliance / tax filings
Financial Accountant skills and qualifications:
- Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Accountant with minimum 1-2 years post qualification experience
- Experience across breadth of day to day activities of corporate finance function
- Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with data visualisation tools (i.e., Power BI, Data Rails etc) advantageous
- Highly organised with excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a strong attention to detail
- A solid understanding of accounting and effective control environment principles
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
