Role Specific
MONTH END, HALF YEAR AND YEAR-END
- Closing month-end for accounts receivable in finance.
- Perform and reconcile all accounts receivable entries.
- Responsible for collecting all payments due to the company.
- Creating invoices for customers and allocating receipts to match against the invoice.
- Reconciling concession sales from the invoice to the system.
- Managing and taking ownership of various balance sheet reconciliations including prepayments and accruals.
- Allocations of costs between cost centres and stores.
- Producing turnover certificates for stores and liaising with the external auditors on this.
- Entering exchange rates into finance system
- Assist the tax accountant with sundry accounting information required for tax reporting and submission of tax returns.
This involves:
- Extracting GL information on provisions, Assets, IFRS16 entries,
- Details needed of certain expenses (such as repairs and maintenance, legal fees and other penalties and interest)
- Adjustments to LEADS (tie-in to LEADS) and consolidation entries or adjustments.
- Obtaining budgets and forecast information required for estimates,
- Assist with information that may be required for system design (i.e. clearing journals)
- Extracting certain VAT reports as soon as the GL closes.
- Be the in country liaison with HMRC’s to whom all the tax correspondence can be sent.
- Provide business support to business stakeholders.
- Providing ad hoc reports where necessary.
- Dealing with interim and year-end audit queries.
- System testing involving new projects or initiatives across different software

QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING / EXPERIENCE
- Finance degree
- Part qualified ACCA or equivalent
- Minimum 3 year experience in finance
- Deferred tax, VAT or corporate tax experience advantageous
- Strong excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Exposure to Oracle would be advantageous
- Strong numeric, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience of working in a fast paced multi-site retail environment would be useful
- IT literate with experience gained in larger organisation with multiple platforms
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Must be a flexible and adaptable person in terms of taking on responsibilities and covering for the work of others in the management accounts team when necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £35,534.96-£65,257.30 per year
