Role Profile:
This is a senior leadership role; with a focus on senior stakeholder management and acting as a liaison between business and technology teams, a business-critical conduit between the UK Firm's Finance functions, the Enterprise-Wide Technology teams, and key 3rd party application providers.
Taking ownership of the UK Firm's Finance applications, ensuring the systems strategy aligns to the current and long-term needs.
Role Synopsis:
As a Senior Manager within the UK Firm, you will be responsible for the delivery of the strategic direction of the UK firms SAP and resource management platform as well as the other Finance applications that make up the technology landscape. The role is also responsible of the enhancements of the BAU applications from a technical perspective and will work with the head of KBS finance and other key stakeholders to help manage and drive the successful delivery of the BAU programme. The successful candidate will also work with key vendors to maximise the technology investment that KPMG has made and ensure future releases of the product are aligned to the wider KPMG technology strategy.
As part of the KBS CTO organisation you will also work with your peers to understand the interdependencies across the KPMG technology landscape and ensure that any future investment/changes are aligned to the firm's business and technology strategy.
The successful candidate will also need to establish an active relationship with the Enterprise-Wide Technology team and as indicated work closely with these teams with regards to the understanding and alignment against the wider firm's technology roadmaps and strategy.
They will also be expected to work closely with key 3rd Party providers to understand their technology roadmaps and future releases and ensure we can translate that into how that can drive improved functionality for the business.

Key Accountabilities:
- Establish the appropriate governance structure to manage and drive the Finance Technology platforms in conjunction with the business.
- Lead the relationship with the KBS Business product owners, business customers and business leadership.
- Prioritise issues and have enough autonomy to make decisions
- Become an expert with deep content knowledge around the core Finance systems with the core platform being SAP4 Hana professional services and be able to communicate at various levels within the organisation to help drive required business outcomes.
- Actively participate in Design Solution discussions with our key vendors to help provide input from a customer perspective
- Proactively identify features to be delivered based on voice of the customer and key business stakeholder discussions.
- Owns the technology vision, roadmap, and content presentations in respect of the platforms
- Demonstrate new functionality in release demonstrations and be accountable for analysing functionality against the business direction.
- Lead and manage product management meetings with various vendors to represent the UK firm in the correct forums.
- Identify ways to improve processes so they are lean and efficient while meeting business delivery requirements and new Change requests.
- Identify ways to continually improve on the existing quality standards.
- Providing appropriate reporting around the Platforms, with regards to performance, Change Requests, SLA compliance and process improvement.
- Works with Enterprise-Wide Technology teams to ensure the correct levels of support are provided for the applications and provided feedback on service delivery SLA's.
Qualifications and Previous Experience:
- Demonstrable Technical product knowledge with a key ability to help drive the future direction of the Finance platform, whilst maintaining the key focus on the business strategy and priorities.
- You must have demonstrable experience across the Finance technology platforms.
- Ability to present on specific subjects to a large group of people (both internal and clients/ potential clients).
- Experience of core ERP and / or business systems.
- Experience of using data analysis tools.
- Understanding of core financial business processes (procure to pay, record to report, order to cash, etc.)
- A good understanding of technology platforms supporting the industry
- Ability to break down technical data analysis into accessible business terms, which express clear opinions to all levels and are applied to the wider business environment.
- Ability to work positively with the full range of individuals and groups involved in the usage of the key platforms.
- Excellent Stakeholder management skills and experience at all levels.
- Provides an Outside-In, Customer-Driven, Design Thinking Perspective.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of the various ITS teams.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Being able to understand the wider objectives and Strategy of the Technology organisation.
