Your Company:
The team at NET Recruit are partnering with a successful financial services business to identify a talented and knowledgeable Finance Systems Reporting and BI Analyst to join their team located in the Greater Bournemouth area, for a 12-month contract. At a time when the business in question is successfully leading the market in which they operate, they are looking to hire additional specialists into their growing finance department in order to help improve their processes and support the core functions of the business further, to continue this success for years to come. This role will prove to be crucial in the ongoing management and development of the finance applications and systems used across the department to ensure that the internal teams are well supported so that the business can operate at its optimum.

What you will need to Apply:
To be considered for this diverse role, you should ideally be a qualified or part-qualified accountant and have a good level of accounting and MI/planning knowledge. Additionally, you must possess experience and knowledge of SQL and also relational databases and designing standard accounting reports in areas such as cost centre expenses, P&L, Balance Sheet. To be successful within this role, you will need an understanding of the corporate ledger system and the appropriate change controls, system tests and UAT procedures.

The company in question are offering the successful candidate for this interim role, a starting salary of up to £65,000, which is dependent on previous knowledge and experience that can be utilised in this role. Your Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but will not be limited to:
- Supporting the BAU Technical Manager and the Change Technical Manager from a technical perspective, with a variety of tasks, including handling data from the General Ledger and be involved in Solvency 2 Legislation
- Undertaking maintenance of the systems and databases used (IBM Clarity 6 and COGNOS FSR) including daily administration, supporting queries and liaising with relevant teams to address items such as data-fixes and data loads
- Assisting the Financial long term strategic planning in the Financial Systems to enable more accurate long forecasts
- Managing the continual improvement of the Planning and Forecasting accounting processes for all SBUs and SSUs in order to meet changing business requirements.
- Liaising with the SBU Database Owners to coordinate the testing and release of new versions of IBM COGNOS FSR
- Advising on best-practice reporting design for Clarity FSR objects
- Learning, assisting and developing for the other systems used, to support the wider team
