A niche and exciting development opportunity has arisen for a finance systems analyst who wants to grow with the organisation, learn new systems and hone their skills with support from us towards their qualifications.
The Finance Systems Analyst role is responsible for operating, enhancing, and optimising the Group and Global Finance applications that support the areas of Group Consolidation, Regulatory and Tax reporting.
This is an exciting opportunity, requiring you to utilise your finance and systems expertise working closely with finance users to improve reporting practices. Your main tasks will include:
Guiding the business to better utilisation of the technology to strengthen the efficiency of the Group Finance processes
Collect requirements, perform system assessments, and drive the implementation of changes across multiple group applications
Organise monthly change request process and make the system changes through governance process and drive continuous improvement to our systems
Ensure the appropriate documentation of systems and processes and be able to provide the evidence to auditors
Support our reporting cycles by quickly providing solutions and guidance to 400 internal global users
Participating in new initiatives to identify appropriate finance and system solutions to drive the implementation to deliver benefits to the Group finance users. (e.g., embedding the IFRS17 standard, Global Planning rollout)
Key Skills & Experience
Technical and analytical skills, with ability to interpret & present information clearly
At least 3 years of experience in providing system support, delivery of systems or functionality
Strong communication skills and ability to work and understand finance users and requests
Familiar with User Acceptance Testing and Change Management
Expose to finance process understanding, at least in one of the following areas: Consolidation, Planning, Solvency II, IFRS16, Reporting, Tax, Actuarial
Understanding of demands faced by a large global company and its financial reporting process
Strong EPM finance systems understanding. Prior experience with Tagetik, Oracle, SAP, IBM and/ or other EPM systems is required
Experience of delivery and/or maintenance of large-scale Finance Systems
Good understanding of databases, SQL, data uploads, interfaces with other systems, data extraction and manipulation.
Advanced knowledge of MS office products - in particular Excel including VBA
