The Finance Change team is at the heart of delivering projects that drive value throughout the Firm. These could be policy changes, the introduction of new functionality and ways of working, regulatory changes or enhancements to current systems and processes. The team manages a thriving and complex stakeholder environment, collaborating with leaders in the UK & Swiss firm, colleagues from North & South Europe (NSE) and with technical experts from the Global Finance Services (GFS) organisation.
The NSE digital finance backbone is Swift, which is Deloitte’s new global SAP S4 HANA Finance Platform. The Programme deployed SWIFT into US and Canada in December 2017, into UK, Switzerland and Australia in 2018, and into five more countries of NSE finishing in February 2021. Alongside the technology, the Programme transitioned work to a captive Global Finance Services (GFS) organisation as well as developing and deploying a suite of new reporting capabilities.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting the analysis and delivery of changes into the live operational environment and act as a key interface between the global technology teams, the NSE Finance Operations, UK/CH Finance department, and the UK/CH business lines.

You will take ownership of business analysis activities for a specific subset of Finance activities and the related Swift components. For this area, you will:
- Develop relationships with business line change leads, Finance department SMEs, and the global technology services (GFS);
- Develop an in-depth understanding of finance and business processes and how these interact with Swift and its interfacing applications/services, maintaining a conscious awareness of business needs;
- Work with users and change leads to accurately capture business requirements, complete change requests and impact assessments, and determine the business value of changes;
- Work with GFS and local users to support User Acceptance Testing and drive defect resolution;
- Provide expert advice to the Change team and key stakeholders, including the review of incoming changes and requirement prioritization;
- Identify opportunities for improvement or optimization;
- Identify potential risks, recommending appropriate controls and mitigating actions where appropriate;
- Investigate incoming global changes to understand potential business impact and delivery effort;
- Work with other NSE geographies to align and standardize processes and tools across the firm;
- Review solution proposals to ensure they deliver required change and that it aligns with UK/CH processes, policies, and regulation;
- Support the business lines with the adoption of new features and technology;
- Review and update training materials, guidance documents, and process maps;
- Support the firm in moving towards the adoption and alignment of strategic global platforms and processes.
Connect to your skills and professional experience
- Experience of working within or partnering with a finance function;
- Experience as a business analyst, or a role with similar responsibilities;
- Experience of Change Management practices, tools and methodologies;
- A solid understanding of the software development cycle, particularly with regards to requirements gathering and user acceptance testing;
- Experience working with ERP system (preferably SAP Finance);
- Experience of working in large global finance change/transformation programmes;
- Experience of working in Professional Services organizations;
- Experience of stakeholder management, requirements documentation, impact assessment and user testing support;
- Experience of working across international and organizational boundaries.
Key competencies
- Accountancy qualification;
- ERP Finance system experience;
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written);
- Excellent interpersonal skills, people focused, flexible, empathetic, instinctive, hands on approach to business change delivery;
- Highly analytical with a structured approach and attention to detail;
- Detailed understanding of finance processes and accounting practices
- Adept at both Agile and waterfall methodologies, and the ability to step in and out of both
