Salary: c.£27k PA, free travel on TfL services plus outstanding benefits

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the Finance email enquiry inbox and action or redistribute as appropriate.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to internal staff and external contacts.
  • Assist with the preparation of periodic and routine journals.
  • Prepare Gift Aid claims.
  • Follow financial control processes and identify opportunities for improvements or efficiencies.
  • Contribute to / produce training documentation and guidance.
  • Support sales, purchases, expenses and procurement card processing for the LTM in partnership with the TFL shared service functions.
  • Regularly review, resolve and escalate outstanding issues such as parked invoices, outstanding purchase orders, uncleared purchase card items, and aged debtors and creditors.
  • Support cash and treasury management: bank cash and cheque receipts, download, file and circulate bank statements, maintain register of standing orders and direct debits. Manage cash clearing accounts.
  • All other tasks as reasonably requested by management.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Excellent written skills and phone/email etiquette
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent numeracy skills and a working knowledge of accounting principles
  • Good Excel skills and willingness / aptitude to develop
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft programs
  • Ability to manage time and organise work against multiple deadlines
  • Desirable - interest and understanding of the transport, museum and charity sectors
  • Desirable - experience of SAP
  • Desirable - experience working in a Finance department, ideally with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
