Finance Manager

We have an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our team in Sherborne.
Overall function and description of the job:
Responsible for aiding business planning and financial decision-making tasks by providing appropriate financial advice. Managing and undertaking accounts administration.
Main duties:
- Managing Finance department and staff (currently 4 employees)
- Collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts and financial statements.
- Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends.
- Undertaking strategic analysis and assisting with strategic planning.
- Controlling income, cash-flow and expenditure.
- Managing budgets.
- Review financial statements with management personnel.
- Sharing financial knowledge and working with company directors, managers and other colleagues within the group.
- Liaising with external bodies such as auditors.
- Keeping up to date with changes in financial regulations and legislation.
Position requirements:
- Suitable accounting qualification, such as AAT advanced Diploma or equivalent qualification. Anyone studying at this, or higher level may also be considered and sponsorship towards relevant qualification possible.
- Experience in accounting procedures and practices.
- Ideally educated to degree level or have appropriate and relevant experience.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience of proposing & implementing new ideas regarding simplification and improvement of business processes
- A good understanding of IT systems and Excel skills

Hours of work -37.5 per week (Flexitime hours are from 6am to 8pm, core hours are Monday to Friday 10am – 3pm and Friday 10am to 12.30pm)
Salary: £40k-£50k per annum depending upon qualification and experience.
