This Finance Manager will report to the Head of Finance Business Partnering and will work within our Finance Directorate based in either our London or Crawley office. You will be a permanent employee..
You will attract a salary of £85,000.00 and a bonus of 10%

The Job
You will help provide an excellent service to the directors and senior leads of the operational business and other important elements of the pan-UKPN management of Trees and the financial management of our Connections Services business. Working collaboratively with other Finance professionals, produce regular and ad-hoc reports and analysis that provide meaningful insights into the our performance. Important will be the ability to exercise objectivity and challenge Management at the appropriate time using information gleaned from the data to support your arguments. The goal is to effect improved financial results directly linked to your input.
You will oversee an annual budget of c£200m.
The team is part of Finance Business Partnering, which supports the entire company to improve results. This provides much greater opportunity for career development.
You will work in London or Crawley and may require travel to Bury St Edmond's and other locations to meet with partners. The team reporting to the role are based in Crawley. There is some scope for working from home.
Principal accountabilities:
Prepare annual budget in agreement with the director and senior management
Produce performance reports that provide important insights into our performance through high-quality commentary and analysis
Identify opportunities for improved efficiency based on analysis
Response to ad-hoc queries from our parent company, CKI
Attendance at monthly management meetings and presentation of the financial report to director and senior managers together with your analysis of the actions required to make quantified improvements
Qualifications
Essential
You will be an accountant (member of one of the CCAB) with five years post qualification experience
Analytical skills that will translate data into a clear articulation of performance and indicate areas of opportunity to facilitate action
Commercial awareness gained through experience working in a profit motivated organisation
You will lead your team to ensure it remains focussed, productive, imaginative and committed to our goals
Great presentational skills adapting to the composition/seniority of the audience
You can collaborate at all levels of the business
A curious mindset
You will have experience working with senior Finance professionals
Desirable
Experience gained in an engineering or infrastructure company/organisation
Desirable - experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau and especially PowerBI
