Ratiobox provide a range of professional accountancy services to businesses throughout the UK. Essential to this is our ability to offer high calibre Finance Manager role fulfilment as an alternative to employment for our clients.
The main areas of delivery are as follows:
- Assisting with performance reporting and direction at a senior directional level;
- Completing accurate management accounting duties and reporting for review;
- Management of Ratiobox team-members output in respect of day-to-day tasks;
- Input in to Ratiobox business processes, delivery and continuous improvement.

This role also requires a strong communicator with the ability to impress and deliver at various levels.
Responsibilities and Tasks Include:
- Continuous improvement of month end processes for a variety of clients including PLC's;
- Financial reporting responsibility including the tailoring of reporting information to deliver financial improvement;
- Delivery of financial reporting including communication and explanation to enable understanding for senior non-financial client heads;
- Balance sheet reconciliations;
- Management, development and training of accountancy and bookkeeping team through to professional qualification;
- Project costing, tracking costs, recurring revenues and WIP;
- Monitoring, reporting and delivery of ad hoc reporting including cash flow forecasting, project costing, tracking costs, recurring revenues and WIP;
- Internal reporting and identification of process efficiency.
About you:
- ACMA/ACCA part-qualified, MAAT qualified or qualified by experience;
- Proven experience at a reporting or Management Accountancy level;
- People management experience although training can be given;
- Hands on accounting and bookkeeping experience on major ERP software (Oracle, SAP) or the ability to demonstrate technical ownership of SME software (Xero, Sage, Quickbooks) including the ability to continuously improve both the day to day and month end processes;
- Strong communication skills particularly at a senior and ownership level;
- Organised with the ability to deal with a variety of tasks including managing a varied and demanding workload;
- Problem solving skills as a completer / finisher;
- Customer focused both internal and external;
- Commercially aware;
- Team building skills.

- Balance sheet reconciliation: 2 years (preferred)
- purchase ledger and sales ledger: 2 years (preferred)
- supervision: 1 year (preferred)
- Financial reporting: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Drivers (preferred)
