Pope & Meads are an industry leading precision engineering business, manufacturing bespoke solutions to scientific, medical, aerospace and defence sectors.

Due to expansion an opportunity has arisen for a Finance Trainee to join the team.

The Finance Trainee will support the business in performing financial and office activities.

In return, a training package will be tailored to the individual and the individual will be supported through their development.

Duties to include:

• Purchase ledger activities

• Sales ledger activities

• Credit control

• Job costing analysis

• Stock and work in progress calculations

• Assist month-end process

• Support in the maintenance of control systems, policies, and procedures

• Ad-hoc projects as required by the management team

Who you are:

• Enthusiastic, pro-active and motivated individual

• Competent use of Microsoft skills, particularly Excel

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Ability to take initiative and prioritise tasks

• Meticulous attention to detail and desire to ask questions when unsure

• Outstanding ability to work cohesively as part of a team and maintain working relationships

• Willingness to learn and grow

Requirements:

• 2.1 or above preferable in a finance related degree- Economics, mathematics, accounting, finance etc.

• 112 UCAS points or above

• Minimum B in English Language & Maths at GCSE

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Graduate

Salary: £20,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
