Job description
Hello potential future Oatly employee. It’s us, the original oat drink company that started in Sweden back 25 or so years ago.
In the last few years, we’ve become a popular and pioneering dairy-alt player in the UK market. We're continuing to establish our presence here, determined on being part of the discussion on the long-term future of the food and beverage industry. With this growth, we need more brilliant minds to come work with us to keep the momentum going and the oat drink flowing.
We exist to make it easy for people to eat better and live healthier lives without recklessly taxing the planet’s resources in the process. If this resonates with you, then maybe you’d like work for Oatly, too. So, let’s get to the formal stuff.
The Role
We're looking for a Finance Manager. This person will structure all local finance processes and controls while working closely with the UK Finance Director and EMEA team.
We're looking for a dedicated professional with an interest in sustainability, who will support the local commercial teams with all kinds of analysis – like P&L, actual & budgets, business opportunity impact, costs, efficiencies, improvements, and margins.
Here's how we see the main elements of the role right now...
- Managing finance business planning, including budgets, forecasts, reporting, accounting, and long-term plans.
- Collaborating on developing and maintaining first-class systems and controls.
- Involvement in networking Capital improvements.
- Collaborating and supporting on business cases.
- Optimise work through our outsourced partners (accounting/tax firms).
- Check and assure compliance with legal requirements.
- Support with audits and offer continual process Improvements.
We're a fast growing business, so every day can bring a new and exciting challenge. No two days are the same, and you might see your responsibilities change over time. It's a hugely exciting opportunity for somebody to get stuck in, and make a real impact – both internally and externally.
Who You Are
If the below sounds like you, we'd love to see an application:
- You're a Qualified Chartered Accountant: CIMA, ACA and/or ACCA.
- You've got a minimum of 3-4 years working experience in finance.
- You're a Microsoft Excel expert who knows your way around a spreadsheet.
- You consider yourself a self-starter, who enjoys building from scratch and implementing sustainable processes, structures and tools.
- And if you've got experience in a FMCG company (supplier or retailer), that'd be a bonus – but not necessary.
Another bulleted list felt redundant, so we wrote this long sentence with all the ways we sweeten the deal to work with us: 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays, carryover days and buy & sell scheme), comprehensive health and travel insurance, life insurance and income protection, free therapy so you can be kind to your mind, RSUs (restricted stock units), an epic office space in Farringdon which comes with loads of snacks and breakfast (and amazing cappoatccinos), genuinely great co-workers who want to see the company and each other succeed, and a fridge full of the best non-dairy alternative in the world for your enjoyment.
