Candidate will be required to work onsite in our NYC office 1-2 days per week. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.

Your Mission:

As Sr. Financial Analyst, FP&A you will be the finance business partner to key functional leaders, ensuring operational plans are aligned with financial goals and creating transparency that allows us to make the right decisions to propel the business forward. Your focus will be on partnering with business leaders for planning/budgeting, forecasting, monthly plan vs. actual performance analysis, and coordinating with Finance and Sales team members to drive the monthly closing and reporting process for key functions.

Your Competencies:

• Be a trusted advisor as finance business partner to leaders of assigned business areas and lead their budgeting and forecasting activities

• Ensure operational plans are in line with financial budgets and forecast

• Provide transparency into actual results and forward-looking analyses

• Analyze historical performance to understand trends and key drivers.

• Make recommendations to improve performance and processes based on findings

• Support Financial planning and reporting for key functions

Your Education & Experience:

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting

• 1 - 3 years of relevant experience preferred

• Public accounting, consulting, or equivalent FP&A experience preferred

• Strong Excel / PowerPoint / financial modeling skills required

• Highly motivated and humble team-player with no ego

• Must be a proactive & highly organized self-starter, able to work independently and under tight deadlines

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $66,000 – 88,000..

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission under the terms of applicable plan documents, while many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
