Mavenoid is the world’s first hardware support platform. We’ve built a virtual assistant and other tools that help customers set up, use, and troubleshoot everything from dishwashers and printers to robotic lawnmowers and electric scooters. With iconic brands like HP and Jabra as clients and $40 million in funding from top VC firms like Creandum and Point Nine Capital, we’re reinventing technical support for physical products. Having recently raised our Series B, we’re entering an exciting phase of growth but are still small enough for each new person to have a big impact on the company as a whole.
About us
We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our finance team who is responsible for our finances globally. We have employees in over ten different countries and you’ll be working closely with the CFO to run the day-to-day global finance and management accounting function globally.
Please note that this role will be based in the UK.
In your first month, you will
- Learn about Mavenoid and our product
- Met with each of the department leads to get a good understanding of what each team does and each team work towards our goals.
- Have gained a thorough understanding of company goals and financial plan
- Establish relationships with our accountants in each of our entities
In your first three months, you will
- Have met with all Mavens across the world through, so-called Awkward Fikas
- Taken over ownership of the management reporting including flash reporting, consolidated management accounts, rolling forecast
- Assist in the Board pack preparation and regular reporting to the Institutional Investors
- Assist in the annual budgeting process
- Own the KPI reporting to support the strategic business plan
- Own the monthly balance sheet reconciliations and journals across all entities
In your first six months, you will
- Have reviewed and improved on our financial systems, particularly around invoicing and payment collection
- Have become the frontline business partner for sales and marketing
- Own the relationship with outsourced accountants for each of our entities and are responsible for sales & purchase ledger, payroll & expenses
Requirements
- Part-qualified or recently qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
- A few year’s experience in a similar role
- Enjoy working autonomously in a start-up environment where duties are fast evolving.
- Experience working in a SaaS company is a plus
- Experience working for a company with multiple entities is a plus
