Job description
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this newly created role will have line management responsibility for the Finance and Procurement team and will cover management reporting and statutory accounting. This is a hands-on role that gives you the opportunity to support and develop the Finance and Procurement team in an ambitious, growing, and exciting business.
KFP has legal entities in the UK, Ireland, The Netherlands, and Germany, and you will work across all four countries.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Line management of the Finance and Procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Overseeing and reviewing day-to-day accounting procedures
- Ensuring that management accounts are accurately produced, and working closely with external accountants to ensure year-end accounts and VAT submissions are finalised accurately and on time
- Supporting the Head of Finance with the development of financial procedures, processes and systems as required
About you
This role will suit a self-starter that is keen to really make a difference. You will play a key role in KFP’s expansion, so you will have experience in a fast-paced, multicurrency, SME, and will be a qualified accountant (QBE candidates considered).
You will be a keen problem solver and be comfortable working in an environment with minimal supervision, and you will have experience leading a team or playing a leading role within a Finance function, with a keen interest in people management and development.
In this role you will be expected to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, so you will be an excellent communicator – both written and verbal – and will be a true team player.
A retail or IT background would be advantageous but is not essential.
