Finance Manager
Gamble Garden is a public garden located in the heart of Palo Alto and a non-profit community resource for horticultural education. The Finance Manager supports a dedicated team of staff and volunteers in executing our mission. The Finance Manager has overall responsibility for the financial systems of the organization. This is a part-time position.
Job Responsibilities
● Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
● Records and reconciles all receipts
● Processes all payments
● Manages payroll
● Ensures that tax and other required reporting is filed
● Maintains fixed asset inventory
● Administers benefit plans including health and 403(b) plans
● Manages the annual budgeting process
● Works with the office manager to ensure integrity of the donor database
● Administer Gamble Garden's insurance coverage
● Assists in audits and internal reviews
Qualifications/Skills:
● Attention to detail
● Working knowledge of GAAP principles
● Organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects
Education and Experience Requirements:
● Bachelor of Arts or Science degree
● 5 years accounting experience; non-profit experience a plus
● Experience with Quickbooks
