We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our team in our Restaurant Associates sector at Compass Group UK & Ireland, this role will be hybrid based 3 days per week in our office in Canary Wharf, this is high-profile role delivering financial and commercial support to the Restaurant Associates business sector.
As a Finance Manager in Compass, you will report into the Finance Lead and act as business partner to the London Account Manager. You will assist in the development and execution of the overall contract strategy, identify key commercial initiatives to drive improved business performance and actively participate in the building of budgets, forecasts and client commercial needs.
More about the role:Key responsibilities include:
- Provide commercial insight and analysis to the London management team in order to support operational decision making
- Support with performance reporting including budgeting, forecasting, monthly business reviews
- Effectively communicate the business’ financial performance & participate in discussions surrounding risks & opportunities
- Ownership of financial control and governance processes including contractual compliance and adherence to Compass financial policies.
- Support with applicable audit requests in conjunction with the UK Finance Lead
- Undertake any reasonable management request to support the performance of the business
Our ideal Finance Manager will be
- A Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or QBE with varied experience in accounting roles
- Experience of business partnering senior stakeholders with the ability to challenge, influence and persuade at all levels
- High numeric and analytical skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable developing and working with complex spreadsheets
- Demonstrable commercial finance experience of improving business results and adding value
- Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate oral and written information concisely and logically
- Ability to analyse, evaluate and present information in a clear and concise way,
Desirable:
- Experience of operating within a multi-site, multi-contract organization
- Good working knowledge of SAP & Cognos
