We are creating a pivotal new role of Transactional Finance Manager within the finance department to support continued growth and the transition to a new accounting system. This role will manage the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and billing functions of the finance department across the Group. We are looking for a talented, team focused individual with a positive mindset to join our high performing team who will ensure we maintain strong financial processes and drive efficiencies.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play an integral role in developing the Transactional Finance function, including the management and development of our aspiring Graduate trainees and monitoring performance. The successful candidate will be an experienced qualified Manager, ideally with transactional management exposure.
Key focus areas of your role will be:
- Accountable for, the Order to Cash and Purchase to Pay functions. These operational areas deal with transactional information relating to customers, suppliers and staff:
- Order to Cash: ensuring accurate and timely invoicing of customers and collections of outstanding payments
- Purchase to Pay: ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, expense claims and payments
- Ensure efficient processing of transactions, creating strong controls and governance that are fit for purpose as the business grows
- Prepare, develop and maintain monthly KPIs for management reporting and escalation
- Contribute to the development of key financial policies and processes
- Drive continuous improvement and efficiency
- Assist with interim and year-end audits, liaising with external auditors to support the process
- Assist with ad hoc project work as required by the business.
You will be technically minded, and able to demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively across the team and wider business.

Qualification, skills and experience
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, with at least 3 years PQE
- Experience within a similar role essential
- Strong people management skills
- Good understanding of IFRS frameworks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Organisation and time management skills with ability to prioritise
- Ability to work to tight reporting deadlines
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
