Exceptional new opportunity at Moorfields
We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic Management Accountant to join our team . Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, the Management Accountant will be responsible for providing a high quality customer focused management accounting service.
Probation Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period of 6 months.
During the probationary period, your suitability for continued employment will be assessed and provided a satisfactory standard is achieved and maintained, your employment will be confirmed. The probationary period may be extended or your employment terminated either during or at the end of probation, in line with the trust Probationary Policy. For the duration of the probation period, the notice period will be in line with contractual obligations on either side.
Monthly reporting and provision of budget, expenditure, and variance figures, for input to the monthly finance performance report, including forecast to year-end and description, analysis and interpretation of significant variances within the directorate. Month end journals will need to be efficiently prepared to support adherence to the strict deadlines in place for reporting.

Candidates will have experience gained in working NHS Finance or similar, as well as strong technical and communication skills. The ability to organise a varied workload is essential, as is the ability to problem-solve. An up-to-date knowledge of NHS management accounting & budgeting is required.
