OVERVIEW
To provide insight to site financial results, work on region wide improvement initiatives and drive regional financial performance improvement. Responsible for a variety of financial activities, including analysis of customer margins, costs, key balance sheet metrics and financial risk avoidance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support monthly forecast process. Prepare analysis of sales forecasts and weekly updates
- Proactively manage customer financial results, including margin management and cost recovery
- Support risk mitigation and cost recovery initiatives for the region
- Work with regional leadership to provide insight and analysis of financial performance
- Leverage planning analytics and alytic platform to highlight risk and opportunity
- Work with site management at our manufacturing sites to help ensure quoted margins and costs are maintained and that the team understands what is driving them
- Ensure proper accounting of customer financial results
- Partner with regional / corporate cost accounting to help ensure key Balance Sheet and P&L accounts are properly stated
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Student in their penultimate or final year working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field for entire duration of internship.
- Must be comfortable with Excel
- Driving licence is preferred
