We’re recruiting for a Finance Director to join us in Leeds, UK.
The Finance Director will be the Finance leader for the organisation and a partner to and member of the leadership team across all activities, particularly working in very close partnership with the CEO at Egg. The Finance Director will drive the Business Plan in an accelerated growth environment this role will be critical to leading Liberty Global’s investment in Egg. You’ll also be responsible for the following:
  • To be actively and proactively involved in commercial conversations including product pricing, install costs etc.
  • To act with leadership credibility influencing key stakeholders understanding of LG’s culture and financial objectives and to evolve the business model to support Energy Ventures strategic plans
  • You will have direct responsibility to align and structure the finance function, organization, processes and tools to ensure proactive, open, fact-based control of all financial aspects of the business from accounting, finance, tax, forecasting, cash management, risk management and strategic planning
  • You will be expected to work within a Shared Services Agreement to implement and then lead the services provided under LG’s federation model.
  • You will ensure that company strategy and operations are proactively aligned to the FCA ‘treat customers fairly’ agenda
  • You will be expected to support as appropriate all commercial and business development activities including assessing future potential business activities and will assist the leadership team to determine how best to pivot the business when strategic and tactical changes are required
  • You will be expected to ensure good governance by assisting in the design, implementation and monitoring of the governance framework working with Legal, HR, Tax, Internal Audit, Compliance, GDPR etc…
  • Grow with the organisation’s bold growth plans so you should be highly driven and high-reaching with a passion for bringing profitability, growth and success to the business.
You’ll have:
  • Professional Accounting Qualification
  • Solid track record in running core finance related initiatives while driving positive growth and change, coupled with strong leadership skills and a tight cultural fit
  • An Accounting background, with more recent experience in Capital Allocation and Strategy for a real-world broad knowledge of all accounting, financial and strategic valuation principles
  • Experience operating in both large companies & high-growth companies is helpful in order to balance growing operational demands with investor expectations
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively with a small team in an ambitious environment is a must
  • Experience in leading out-sourced support relationships and able to get things done by resources you don’t control is a must
  • The ability to manage and balance the demands of all elements of Finance from Accounting and Governance to Capital Allocation with the need to act as a business partner and control mechanism
  • Experience in Internal Control Over Financial Reporting, SOx, US GAAP and IFRS is all necessary to fulfil this position
  • Solid experience in financial analysis and forecasting with knowledge of best practices in financial management
  • Strong leadership ability, presence with a team-player coach management style
