What you’ll do:
"• Develop and utilize existing processes to support financial budgets and forecasts and to report results with transparency to internal and external parties.
- As the Finance representative in the Product Line leadership team the incumbent will act as a business partner to other functional leads to drive finance driven solutions.
- Assist functional leads in issues including but not limited to; contracts, payment terms, consignment stock, margin, damages and mix management to improve product line performance and ensure compliance.
- Prepare business plans consistent with PSP product line strategy and participate in the development of that strategy.
- Measure business performance against profit plan and hold key stakeholders to account.
- Assess business development opportunities and leverage divisional and corporate resources appropriately.
- Apply understanding of the PSP product line to proactively identify opportunities (e.g. cost reduction, capital management) and correctly identify and proactively mitigate risks working with ICPD finance organisation where needed.
- Understand key business variables and effects on the product line; price, cost, volume, mix, overheads, production cycle times etc.
- Develop, implement and continuously improve business processes and internal controls. Understand Eaton control environments and key risk areas requiring strong controls and periodic review as well as legal requirements. Strong operational knowledge of Eaton and ICPD’s financial systems and ability to leverage cross functional relationships to ensure compliance.
- Participate in customer and supplier meetings
Periodically supporting the Financial Accountant with adhoc requirements as required;
Preparing HMRC and other compliance reporting, including monthly VAT returns, intrastat, statutory accounting, statutory forms, annual tax pack & EC Sales reporting.
- Ability to simplify complex issues appropriately to facilitate decision making within the Product Line and ICPD.
- Ensure financial integrity of the PSP product line to local legal requirements and internal policies. Lead audits, commitment to Eaton’s Leadership Attributes and report any risks to senior leadership in a timely manner
- Provide local and global economic analysis, indicating key economic drivers which may impact the Product Line.
- Take active part in R&D Controlling of Product line PSP.
- Support financial planning and forecasting processes around E-Mobility.
- Support wider ICPD Finance team as appropriate. "
Qualifications:
Degree level education
"3+ years in a large organisation, with manufacturing/ engineering experience. Ability to create and explain financial models including discounted cash flow and sensitivity analysis
U.S. GAAP and associated processes, including Eaton financial policies
Negotiation skills
Tax, transfer pricing and foreign exchange, fixed assets, cost accounting
