This role will involve:
- Dedicated Finance Business Partner for Store Operations, supporting on both revenue analysis and cost performance tracking, overseeing both financial and non-financial metrics and KPIs in relation to full Store P&L performance.
- Work closely with our Management Accounting Team to support a ‘no-surprises’ month-end, whilst ensuring performance is communicated, understood, and reviewed frequently by the business.
- Budgeting and forecasting for store-related costs, working closely with business owners to develop forecasts that are both realistic yet challenging, with a cost/sales-driver modelling approach.
- Seeking out opportunities for cost and risk reduction, challenging the business to work with a profitability mind-set at all times.
- Support and challenge the Stores & People team with investment cases considering both financial and commercial factors.
- Financial partner to our Store Director in terms of our balanced Scorecard – benchmarking performance and highlighting opportunities for improvement, managing store polarisation and providing insight on the effectiveness of the scheme in relation to bonusable targets.
- This role will support our stakeholders who manage the ‘Digital-Bridge’, which connects our stores to the trading on Dunelm.com. It is therefore crucial the candidate is proactive with Stakeholder management, building great relationships across both Finance and the business, ultimately becoming a key member of the team responsible for building growth & alignment opportunities that are financially sound and reviewed for success.
