The University is seeking to recruit a qualified Accountant to join our energetic and dynamic team.
The role will be at the heart of Finance Business Partnering within the University working directly with Academic Departments, supported by a well-established Finance team structure. You will receive full support and training on University systems, and have the opportunity to participate in exciting projects as part of our continual improvement process.

In this role, you will provide high quality strategic and operational decision-making support across a number of academic departments through the delivery of robust, high quality financial analytical insight. As a positive 'can-do' individual you will work flexibly to offer a consistently high quality level of customer service, whilst successfully delivering on reporting deadlines.
You will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to build a network of key contacts across the University, and be a team player with a drive to get things right the first time.
You will be required to manage other staff within the Academic Accounting team as well as influence key stakeholders across the University.

Experience in higher education is not a prerequisite and we're interested in hearing from candidates outside of the sector. Part time working patterns at 80% may be considered for this role. The University is currently working to a mixed home and campus based working model, with a minimum of two days spent on campus. Appropriate IT equipment will be provided to facilitate this working arrangement.
