We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Planning and Analysis Business Partner to join our Finance Division based in Leeds!
Working closing with our Head of Planning and Performance, you will provide financial analysis, tools and insight that challenge thinking and drive the strategy, performance and sustainability of Medical Protection Society.
You will champion cost-consciousness throughout the business by holding budget holders to account, own the next phase of zero-based budgeting and play a pivotal role in the transformation and development of the division.
This will be a pivotal role in providing Finance support on business-critical projects, including digital development and growth. You will build business cases with the Portfolio, Programme and PMO team, present submissions to the Change Investment Committee and monitor associated costs and benefits, identifying risks and opportunities to delivery.
This role sits under MPS’ ‘Hybrid Persona’ meaning a blend of home and office-based working, to suit you and the needs of the business. This is typically 1-2 days per week on-site.

As our new Financial Planning and Analysis Business Partner, you will:
- Provide leadership and challenge to core stakeholders and the Executive Team to deliver value creating commercial insights and advisory support and drive business performance
- Develop Management Information reporting in line with the on-going requirements of the company including country by country reporting and segmental analysis
- Lead planning activities to continuously improve ways of working and contribute to divisional / MPS-wide continuous improvement projects
- Develop forward-looking financial reporting for the organisation, identifying risks and opportunities and associated actions to mitigate/maximise
We are looking for:
- Extensive skills operating and utilising Finance systems
- Ability to translate and logically communicate insights and suggestions with a positive, collaborative and engaging approach
- Managing senior stakeholders - can anticipate points of challenge and explain/advocate the benefits of change
- Significant experience in production of consolidated budgets and forecasts
