We are currently looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner to join our Commercial Finance Business Partnering team to support assigned business areas in all aspects of Finance including expense management & budgeting, revenue planning, new business modelling, project support and ad-hoc financial advice.
Ideally you will have a Financial Services background and be ACCA/CIMA qualified and ideally we are looking for experience with Anaplan, our Business planning tool.
This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to further their career within a global organisation, gain exposure across the business up to Board level and have full accountability for assigned business areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the Commercial business to model new broker opportunities;
- Take ownership of various monthly revenue & expense reporting processes, including the subsequent communication to key stakeholders;
- Play a key role in the annual expense budgeting process;
- Contribute towards the revenue & branch planning processes;
- Broker override and profit share calculations;
- Business performance and results evaluation and reporting;
- Deal with ad-hoc queries and requests from across the business; and
- Involvement in corporate projects & initiatives
Skills & Experience
- Ideally CIMA/ACCA qualified
- Experience in Anaplan required for 1 but not all positions available
- A good working knowledge of management accounting techniques
- Proven record of providing advice & support to senior stakeholders
- Experience of working with colleagues from non-finance areas of the business
- Advanced Excel skills; comfortable dealing with large volumes of data and experience of automating & improving complex numerical models
- Some existing knowledge of Insurance would be beneficial
- An aptitude for systems work is desirable
- Strong intellect and the ability to see the 'big picture' across the business
- Ability to interact and collaborate credibly at all levels in the organisation, including at senior management level
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-motivated, positive, and innovative; ability to use initiative and provide constructive challenge where necessary
- An ability to work under pressure and to achieve deadlines
- Excellent written & spoken communication skills
