Finance Assistant required (immediate start available)
Salary: £25k to £32k dependent on experience.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00am till 5.00pm or 9.00am till 6.00pm.
Location: Basingstoke/Office based

Due to company growth Tomato Energy have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant who can hit the ground running. You will be responsible for the transactional account’s functions which will include accounts payable, accounts receivable, Credit Control and any other accounting duties required.
You will be responsible for processing purchase invoices, employee expenses, raising sales invoices and maintaining financial records.
In addition to this, you will also be communicating with suppliers to resolve queries, and ensuring invoices are authorised for payment.
Job Purpose:
The Finance Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support in the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
This will include but not limited to:
- Assist in all areas of finance including accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit control and management accounts
- Bookkeeping
- Payroll
- Invoicing
- Credit control
- Paying suppliers
- Financial forecasting
- Purchase ledger
- Processing supplier invoices
- Updating remittance spreadsheet
- Remittances and chasing credit as well as checking invoices
- Checking completion paperwork against invoices
- Ordering materials
Qualifications:
- AAT Level 3 in Accounting or similar qualification
Experience:
- Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control.
Skills & Personal attributes:
- AAT Level 3 in Accounting
- Experience of Sage, Xero etc.
- Good PC skills (Microsoft Office packages)
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- Self-motivated, proactive and a willingness to learn
- Able to take responsibility to ensure tasks are completed
