Job description
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work for an innovative and growing local Multi Academy Trust. This is a key role where you will manage the financial activities of your allocated Schools within the Trust and is therefore ideal for someone who has experience of working within a finance management role and enjoys meeting and communicating with a variety of people. The role will include some necessary local travel between Trust sites and may include working from home. Key tasks will include:
· Budget setting and forecasting
· Reviewing monthly management accounts, reporting variances and forecast outturns to Head Teachers and Central Trust.
· Liaison with Head Teachers regarding funding opportunities and other financial information
· Managing the production of invoices and debt collection
· Purchase order and invoice processing
· Overseeing production of requisitions ensuring compliance and correct coding
· Dealing with internal and external finance queries
The successful candidate will be a proficient user of Microsoft Office and ideally have two years previous finance office-based experience in a similar position (not necessarily in an education setting).
· Salary: Grade 12 Point 12 £24,496 up to Point 19 £27,852, pro-rata. Actual Salary based on 35 hours per week, 41 weeks per year £21,139 - £24,035.
· Hours: 30-35 hours per week ideally to be worked over 4/5 days per week. Term Time (38 weeks per year) plus 3 weeks – part time hours would be considered for a job share
· Start Date: ASAP
