Finance Assistant

At Itec we a looking for a new employee to join our small finance team to support with the day-to-day financial duties of our organisation.
Salary Banding: £20,800 to £23,000 based on skills and experience.
Base: Itec House
Contract type: Full time, Permanent
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:30pm
What are the core responsibilities of this role?
- Support with maintaining the purchase ledger ensuring that accurate and up to date information is available at all times.
- Provide support to internal staff and external customers answering financial queries in a timely manner.
- Support with processing monthly JGW+ support cost declaration
- Processing and reconciliation of JGW+ employer wage subsidy payments
- Support with monthly bank reconciliations
- Processing staff mileage and expenses claims.
- Support with credit chasing for commercial training.
- To support the finance team with carrying out regular departmental audits
- Support with processing of weekly learner payments across all contracts as required.
- To support the finance team with the day-to-day accounting functions
- To support the Finance Manager and colleagues, as required in all aspects of the finance departments duties.
What skills and experience are we looking for from potential applicants?
Essential criteria
- GCSE mathematics or equivalent
- Good organisational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail.
- Honest and Trustworthy
- Flexible in approach
Desirable criteria
- AAT part of full qualified
- Previous administrative experience
- Previous experience in a financial role
- Full driving license with use of own vehicle
- Sage 50 Accounts
- Safeguarding & Prevent Knowledge and understanding.
