VACANCY FOR FINANCE OFFICER

HATTON PARK PRIMARY SCHOOL - PLEASE APPLY ON THE SCHOOL WEBSITE

Salary: Grade 6, Point 7-12, £22,369 - £24,496 FTE (£13,315 - £14,581 Actual Salary)

Hours of work: 25 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

(term time + 50 hours during the school holidays)

There is flexibility with the working pattern in terms of number of days per week worked and the start and finish times.

Responsible to the Headteacher - Hatton Park Primary School

We are looking for an enthusiastic, efficient and well-organised Finance Officer to join our friendly, supportive team at Hatton Park Primary School. The role will be busy, varied and responsible as you will be undertaking the day-to-day finance administration for the school. Aspects of the finance role will include managing and processing orders; payment of invoices, school trip monies and liaising with suppliers as well as payroll, day-to-day accounts and reconciliation. You will work closely with the Headteacher and you will be supported in your role by the core team including the Trust Accountant.

The ideal candidate:

  • Good educational background with GCSE or equivalent in English Language & Mathematics
  • Finance qualification or appropriate experience
  • Understanding of general accounting procedures and processes
  • Competent IT user - Excel, Word and Outlook and/or Pupil Asset/SIMs
  • Knowledge of finance software packages e.g. PSF or similar
  • High level of accuracy when working with data
  • Ability to prioritise, communicate and contribute effectively
  • Is committed, reliable and has excellent professional standards
