Job description
Work as part of the finance team to ensure departmental objectives are met and all work meets audit standards.
Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 0830 - 1700 & Friday 0830 - 1600 (would consider part time / 30hrs per week)

Please note this role is an office based role and no hybrid or home working due to the nature of the role.
Preparing the monthly payroll file for Financial controller`s approval, in line with audit criteria
Ensuring FPS/EPS submissions are sent to HMRC
Sending payments for PAYE and third-party payments
Completion of month end reports
Complete and report national statistics surveys
Produce the daily factory labour report
Monthly reconciliations
Investigating and resolving discrepancies with payroll
Processing business expense returns
Processing invoices, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
Verifying/processing agency timesheet
Time & attendance maintenance and reporting in line with working time regulations
AD-HOC tasks as requested to support the wider team
Supporting the financial team with site audits
Ensure statement reconciliations are complete to specified deadlines
Ensuring Payroll is completed to the monthly deadline
Management and maintenance of the site payroll system
Processing statuary payments: Sick pay, maternity pay, paternity pay
Calculating additional payments such as overtime, responsibility pay and average holiday
Working along side HR to ensure processing of new starters, leavers and change of details on to payroll systems and any supporting factor systems

Ideally to be at an intermediate user level of excel or working towards this level.
Computer literate including Microsoft Office and inhouse computer systems
Ideally a working knowledge of payroll, however, this can be taught if stronger on the Finance Assistant skills and looking to learn payroll.
