The Role…
The Finance Assistant position is a newly created role to support the European and Asia sites with a range of financial analysis, reporting and reconciliation. This role will sit in our UK office, reporting to the Head of Financial Control and will have an opportunity to be involved in a variety of work across a wide spectrum.
Main Duties…
- Preparing and submitting the previous days sales from the EPOS system to Sage
- Investigating and resolving variances for under/over banking
- Fixed Asset Register maintenance and reconciliations
- Issuing sales invoices and reconciling payments when received
- Intercompany Reconciliations
- Processing Purchase Ledger Invoices
- Provide support throughout the year end with the audit process
- Balance sheet reconciliations (over multiple entities)
- Posting bank transactions to SAGE and weekly reconciliation, allocating receipts and payments to correct nominal.
- Month end journal processing
- Processing Refunds
- Support with weekly cashflow
- Assist with producing information for the weekly accounts pack
- Support the Financial Controller with the month end close process
- Additional ad hoc duties as requested
Requirements / Qualifications...
- You will likely be CIMA/ACCA part qualified (or recently started) with 1+ years of experience working in a similar role within a fast-paced multi-site business or comparable experience in a large accounting practice with a hands-on approach
- Able to work in multi currencies
- Strong Communication skills
- Strong analytical and reconciliations skills
- Advanced Excel skills and ideally experience with Sage Accounts package
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
- Organised and methodical
