About the job
We are looking for a Finance Assistance to join our existing team in Edinburgh, you will be required to work from site with the flexibility of working from home 2-3 day per week. In the role you will ensure that purchase invoices are accurately processed through the accounting system in a timely manner. Ensure that all payments to suppliers are made in accordance with agreed payment terms and that all payments are made by BACS where possible. Ensure that overtime and expenses are processed correctly.
Your responsibilities
The registration, matching and processing of invoices and reviewing unposted invoices
Responsible for ensuring AP ledger is free from error and correctly reflects company obligations
Discussing AP queries with suppliers as first point of contact and escalating when required
Responsible for collation of vendor forms and verification of banking details
Processing of journal entries as appropriate
Responsible for record retention of all associated documentation
Assist with the payables cash flow analysis on an ongoing basis and the reconciliation of suppliers’ statements
Assisting with the completion of accounts payable and other creditor balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of differences
Assist with the creation of the BACS run to suppliers and collation of credit card and staff expenses
Assist with collation of overtime sheets and reporting
Liaising with purchasing team and staff responsible for receipting at all levels and contributing to resolving invoices/receipting variances
