Job description
We have an opportunity to join our Finance team. We are looking for an individual who can multitask in an environment of competing deadlines, has excellent attention to detail has a good understanding of Sage 200 and excel.
Hours: Permanent full time position working 35 hours per week
Location: Head office based in Tipton, DY4
Key Accountabilities:
- Day to day accounting such as daily bank reconciliation on Sage 200, including cancelling cheques and resolving differences
- Purchase Ledger process (end to end), inputting invoices, and setting up payments
- Undertaking the month-end Sage procedure and producing related spreadsheets
- Fixed Asset Register upkeep
- Petty Cash reconciliation
- Production of daily, weekly and month-end Management Reports
- Responsible for various board reports
- Processing Treasury deals and associated TTs
- Maintaining procedures for areas within your range of understanding
For this position you must:
- Be able to provide excellent customer service and to embrace the principles of Treating Customers Fairly and the Society’s values
- Be a team player with excellent communication skills
- Have a basic knowledge of Excel
- Be able to multitask in an environment of competing deadlines
- Be confident to use your own initiative
- Have a good understanding of Sage 200
- A minimum of 5 GCSE grades 9 to 4 / A* to C (or equivalent) including Maths and English Language
You would benefit from:
- Bank reconciliation and purchase ledger experience, ideally where you have been solely responsible for these functions
- Work experience gained within the Financial Services industry
- AAT qualification or willingness to study and complete
