We are undergoing a period of growth and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance assistant to join our team.
The role of the Finance Assistant is to provide financial administration activities to support the needs of the business.
This is a full time hybrid role, offering 37.5 hours a week.
What you’ll do (but not limited to):
- Update financial spreadsheets, daily bookkeeping
- Track and reconcile bank statements
- Create month-end reports
- Process payments
- Support monthly payroll and keep organised records
- Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed
- Provide administrative support during budget preparation Scanning, filing and logging account documents
What we’re looking for:
- BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics (or relevant accounting qualification)
- Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
- Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Xero)
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- High Attention to detail
- Critical thinking skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented with the ability to present clear, well-structured reports
- Ability to multi-task, manage own time, handle challenging situations and use own initiative
- Well organised, with ability to work to tight deadlines and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team and to work on own initiative
