About the Role:

The Finance Assistant will support the Finance Manager to maintain and improve the day-to-day running of the company’s finances, helping to drive the business forward. The role will involve data entry, inputting and processing financial transactions and being agile to support the Operations team with administrative tasks where required.

You will have strong organisational skills, integrity, excellent mathematical skills and be detail oriented.

With plans of growth over the next couple of years you will also be an integral part of operational development.

This is a full-time position, working 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday in our Clerkenwell studio.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support the Finance Manager with the company’s day-to-day financial matters
  • Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions
  • Processing purchase invoices, checking for anomalies, ensuring supplier invoices are saved on the system and sent to the Bookkeeper
  • Prepare and send invoices to our clients, ensuring expenses are charged back to the Client
  • Assist with chasing Clients for overdue invoices
  • Support in the preparation of fee proposals
  • Process staff expenses, ready for approval by the Finance Manager
  • Basic bookkeeping duties to keep track of incoming and outgoing payments
  • Assist with office purchasing, including office supplies and IT equipment
  • Support with financial admin in relation to travel arrangements for the team
  • Supporting the Finance Manager to update the Resource Plan
  • Ensure that the Asset Register and Contracts spreadsheet is kept up to date
  • Carry out financial administrative projects for new initiatives

Who you are:

1. MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
2. Determined, proactive, accurate and hands-on
3. Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
4. Highly organised and thorough
5. A quick learner and willing to develop new skills and show initiative
6. Personable and reliable
7. Completed at a minimum 5 GCSE’s grade A-C

No previous experience is needed for this role. Our ideal candidate will have a proficiency for numbers and want to grow with us!
