What does the role involve?
As a member of the Financial Control Team, you will participate and contribute to Financial Control and tax compliance. Work collaboratively with managers and all colleagues to create opportunities to support the success of Novuna.
Some of your key duties will be to:
- Maintain the daily posting of the Head Office bank accounts and perform associated reconciliations in accordance with the deadlines. Contribute towards maintaining optimum effectiveness of the Head Office bank reconciliation rules in Oracle Cash Management
- Assist in maintaining accurate accounting records for Head Office, including preparing balance sheet reconciliations, preparing/loading general ledger journals, raising manual invoices as required
- Support with the Group Inter Company matrix, currency revaluations of all monetary balances, and support the reporting of the monthly FX P&L impact and the review process to identify and mitigate any unhedged positions
- Support the development, review and maintenance of robust financial controls and process documentation for J-Sox, maintaining an up to date and accurate ‘Head Office controls checklist
What are we looking for?
You easy adapt to the pace in which you work and enjoy multi-tasking. We often get very busy towards the end of the month and require an individual who enjoys the challenge of working to deadlines and in a timely manner. You are organised and have a keen eye for attention to detail.
Also, we're looking for some who has:
- The ability to analyse statistics and data and excellent attention to detail
- Good knowledge and understanding of double entry
- Experience with operating systems
- Accounting qualifications (desirable)
