The successful individual will take responsibility for the day-to-day accounting for the group of companies, providing timely and accurate financial reporting whilst ensuring the UK GAAP compliancy.

Your profile

BILLING


  • Ensuring all sales invoices are sent to all customers
  • Posting of all sales invoices, credit notes and adjustments
  • Keep up to date, reconcile and allocate transactions on customer accounts
  • Issue customer statements on a monthly basis
  • Ensure customer billing addresses and contact details are kept up to date

PAYABLES
  • Process all purchase invoices and credit notes
  • Ensure invoices are approved in time to meet payment terms
  • Expenses and credit cards, processing, and reconciliations
  • Deal with supplier queries
  • Processing journals in relation to accounts payables

PAYMENTS AND BANKING
  • Daily banking of customer and supplier payments
  • Allocation of bank transactions
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations

MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING
  • Maintain accounting for prepayments, accruals, deferred income, and fixed assets
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts
  • Post all month end and yearend journals
  • Carry out monthly variance analysis on the P&L and Balance sheet
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist in preparing the management accounts pack

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Part or newly qualified AAT is desired, but qualified by experience will be considered
  • At least 12 months previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience of using Xero is desired but not essential
  • High levels of integrity and accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail and an investigative nature
  • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to build strong working relationships

REMUNERATION
The package and benefits are noted below:

Salary: £24,000 - £29,000 pax, based on experience
Study Contribution: £2,000
Pension: Company Pension Scheme
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 – 18:00
Holiday: 20 days pa, in addition to Public Bank Holidays and Birthday
Contract: Full Time and Permanent
Health: Mental Health Wellbeing Programme Membership
Location: Greenwich
