Milestone Infrastructure is the UK's leading highways maintenance provider looking after over 24,000 miles of roads, 280,000 lighting assets and 20,000 miles of footways, always with a view to ensuring that all works are carried out as sustainably as possible and with minimal impact to local communities.
Recently Milestone Infrastructure have been awarded a 7-year contract to provide a broad range of highway services to Central Bedfordshire Council covering design, construction and maintenance. As a result, we are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Assistant to join the finance team.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Invoice matching and processing
- Subcontractor payment processing
- Intercompany recharges
- Sales invoicing
- Payroll submissions for overtime & one off payments
- Expenses review and post
- Resolve queries within deadlines
- Retain a network or contacts across the wider business
- Liaise with the local commercial and operational teams
- Support month end close routine and systems reconciliation
Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
- Strong financial skills with relevant accounting experience
- A strong problem solver
- Good IT system skills (Excel to pivot tables a must)
- Experience of a fast pace constantly improving environment
