We’re looking for a Finance Assistant to join our Highways team based in Edmonton, North London. Location: Edmonton, North London with hybrid working available (4x days in the office, 1x day WFH)
Contract: Permanent, Full time
Salary: Up to £30k + 26 days of annual leave + Benefits
Responsibilities
As a Finance Assistant you will work closely with contract teams to accurately capture costs, aid procurement, and prepare monthly management accounts and information to support decision making, process improvement and drive contract efficiencies.
Your day to day will include:
- Raising purchase orders, entering goods receipts, monitoring registered invoice control and resolving invoice queries
- Distributing costs and workflow reports and working with contract teams to ensure processes are adhered to such that these reports are a true reflection of current performance
- Maintain accurate cost capture via journal entries
- Support Commercial & Operational team to ensure there is full understanding and ownership of costs
- Preparation of cost reconciliations – people, plant, systems, subcontractors
Who are we looking for?
This role of Finance Assistant is great for you if you have:
- AAT, CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualifications
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and Computerised Accounting Systems
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and a willing contributor with meetings
