Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with good problem-solving skills? Are you experienced in maintaining financial records and assisting with accounting processes? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic finance team as a Finance Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Senior Finance Assistant in monitoring and maintaining healthy cash flow for the company
- Assist in overseeing the day-to-day functions of accounts and finance, including sales ledger, purchase ledger, cashbooks (in all currencies), pay runs and remittance advice, credit control, and more.
- Ensure accurate processing and timely payment of supplier invoices in accordance with payment terms.
- Investigate and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies with suppliers.
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure accurate and complete posting of payments.
- Record and track remittances and statements from suppliers in the accounting system.
- Reconcile bank payments, credit card statements, and revenue.
- Support the Senior Finance Assistant in budget preparation.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing and data entries.
- Assist with audits when required.
- Handle the payroll function for all UK staff.
- Maintain employee records, including hours, monthly payroll, pension requirements, and relevant reporting.
- Assist with direct debits and non-Purchase Order spend.
- Provide supplier reports, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and ad hoc analyses to raise awareness and provide insights.
- Ensure all supplier-related tasks are completed within the monthly Finance timetable.
- Process staff onboarding and offboarding using our accounting software.
- Generate invoices for billable expenses.
- Update daily cash flows.
- Assist with month-end adjustments, including journals, depreciation, accruals, and prepayments.
Requirements:
- AAT qualification is an advantage
- Previous experience is essential
