Description:
Responsible for providing support to the Financial Operations Team covering Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and will be required to attend our office one day per week.
Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Accurate and timely posting of supplier invoices and credit notes
- Preparation and distribution of customer invoices
- Review and posting of monthly employee expense or credit card claims
- Purchase order creation
- Assisting with payment and collection activities
- Dealing with internal and external queries
- Preparation of monthly supplier statement reconciliations
- Completeness and accuracy of supplier & Customer data across all accounting platforms
- Assisting with the timely completion of month end processes and production of monthly reports
- Ensuring all activities are compliant with relevant financial policies

- Departmental buyers & Account Managers
- 3rd party providers – credit cards / banking / finance software
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills
- Multi tasker
- Problem solver
- Accurate data entry skills
- Basic Excel skills
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience in a transactional finance role
Desired
- AAT foundation level (equivalent) or above
- Experience of Financial Reporting processes
- Intermediate Excel skills
Other Contextual Information/Special Features:
- Due to the scope of the role, availability outside normal Canadian or UK hours may be required
- Due to the nature of this role travel to IMS UK offices may be required (Crewe or Manchester)
