We are working on behalf of a prestigious high-end refurbishment firm located in Battersea, London, renowned for exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. With a strong commitment to quality and innovation, They are seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join their dynamic team. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate financial data entry and administration to support ongoing projects.
As a Finance Assistant with a primary focus on data entry, you will be responsible for meticulously inputting financial information into the systems. Your role will contribute to the smooth financial operations of projects and ensure that high standards of accuracy and excellence are upheld. While prior experience with Sage software is advantageous, it is not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate and timely data entry of financial transactions into accounting software and spreadsheets.
- Maintain detailed records of invoices, expenses, payments, and receipts.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to reconcile discrepancies and ensure consistency in financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, summaries, and statements as required.
- Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to gather and verify financial information.
- Assist in administrative tasks related to finance, such as filing, documentation, and organisation.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance data entry efficiency and accuracy.
- Handle confidential financial information with utmost discretion and integrity.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and other office software.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Prior experience with Sage software is preferred but not essential (training will be provided).
- A keen interest in finance and a willingness to learn and develop in the field.
Working Arrangements:
