Finance Assistant
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Dragon LNG working with our Finance team in the role of Finance Assistant.
The Finance Assistant is responsible for the management of the purchase ledger of the Dragon LNG Group of companies and providing support to the finance team in a variety of tasks including monthly and annual reporting.
Role responsibilities include:
- · Managing the company’s purchase ledger
- · Reconciliation of supplier statements
- · Resolving supplier invoice queries
- · Providing reports on supplier activity and expenditure
- · Posting bank transactions into the accounting software and reconciling the bank
- · Maintaining the petty cash facility
- · Assisting the finance team with month end and annual reporting to both internal and external stakeholders
- · Reconciling and posting company charge card statements
- · Calculating monthly prepayments and invoice accruals
- · Reviewing and posting employee expense claims
The successful candidate will have:
- · Experience in a similar finance role
- · Experience of managing a purchase ledger and dealing with supplier queries
- · AAT qualified
- · Knowledge of invoicing, GRNs and supplier statements
- · Understanding of the principles of double entry book-keeping
- · Experience of preparing bank reconciliations
- · Working knowledge of company expense procedures
